i moved the thread to resources because i thought it would fit that topic better.
welcome to the forum, why don't you introduce your self in the intro section

the vids you posted were good. i like the exercises they show at the beginning of video 1. and the combos in that video are quite neat. but i think that the multiple strikes look a little weak, he does not have enough core rotation.
i was not impressed with the second video though... i totally disagree with that training method. i get the point, it is believed if you are beligerent and extra agressive in class you a better prepare people for a real encounter..... but i think that just makes people emotional and uncontrollable. it increases the chances of injury and in my experience it is the ability to stay calm that is important, not learning to get excited because someone is acting agressive. i don't think they have any proof that their method is better anyway.
and the last video i was again not impressed with. it is clear the guy does not have extensive MA practice. yes much of what he is saying makes sense, and it would work to quickly teach people self-defense, but he is underestimating the value of martial arts. when i go to block i do not have to think what block to use and what arm they are going to use, part of my skill involves being able to read what will happen when they start to move and then my instincts and training kick in. i do not need to think about the which block to use because once you get to an advance level you know it is not about using specific blocks so much as knowing how body mechanics work for you and your opponent and thus you know how to react. i am not explaining this as well as i would like to..... it is not about learning lists of moves, it is about learning the principals of movement. and further, his comment about the absurdity of standing in a MA stance was wrong too. he claimed that because people do not walk around in MA stances they will not be ready when they need to be. that is Bull! hapkido bases all the stances on natural stances so that you are always prepared. in fact the basic self defense stance is indistinguishable from a person standing natually.
enough ranting

i did like the first video though
