I have done T'ai Chi in the past, but didn't make a habit of it.
I should get back into it and learn a bit more, though.

To me, this is like saying that there's one source that can teach all there is to know about the "real" karate, or the "real" kenjutsu, or kung fu, or nearly any other art. Nearly every art has split into several legitimate styles.
