Here's a super-easy recipe for a really healthy breakfast.
1/3 cup wheat berries (fancy name for wheat seed. You can get this at co-ops, whole food stores, or from feed stores, but make sure that they aren't treated with pesticids)
2/3 cup water
cinnamon, nutmeg, maple syrup as you wish (my dad makes it without any, I make it with cinnamon and maple syrup)
Cook for an hour or more. This is the biggest problem. You can double, triple, or quadruple the batch and make it ahead of time, then heat it up when you need it, or you can buy a security timer, set the ingredients up in a crock pot, and set the timer for an hour before you wake up.
Once done, add fruit (dried, fresh, or frozen), sugar (sparingly), chopped nuts, maple syrup, milk, yogurt, whatever, or just eat plain (if you can do this, you've got more will than I

)
You can also add other grains (take your pick) to the wheat berries when you're cooking it. Wild rice makes an excellent addition.
