very interesting, thanks for sharing

its amazing to see how young those guys were when they died. one would think the current wrestlers today would see that and maybe do something about it, but i guess since money is all they really want, they can deal with death later *shrug*

Oh that sort of wrestling. i really dont like that, wehn i see that on tv its not something i could sit and watch. I know its all fake and they know its all fake so why do people love to watch it?

I know soap television is fake and you may class it the same but i dont think really it is the same. The soaps in the uk cover major issues that help people with the same problems this sort of throwing about and fake hurting of each other just seems imature to me and i wouldnt class it a sport or a art or very good tv.

My brother was always a fan of WWF before they were forced to change the name.

Like you MegaMan I never saw the sport in it. One thing I do find interesting, however, is the choreography. As silly as it sounds I don't think it's exactly a simple thing to go into the ring and "wrestle" as they do.

Unlike a soap there is no story being told. I wonder what about it appeals to so many youngsters, though.

I think its not about who will win, you know its fake, I know its fake, the 20,000 people that go to it each week know its fake. Its way past real or fake, it has become as much a part of american sporting history as baseball and basketball. People go and watch it because kids really do love it, and I'm sure its a great atmosphere for everyone, never sure what will happen on the night.
The guys in it may be employed as actors (hehe) but they are great at what they do, leaping through the air on to someones chest isnt easy to do if you wanna get up without killing the poor sap you jumped on. So like it or loath it its there, and whats more, it will probably be there for another 20 years to come.
