Default Women testing in Wushu

I found some neat videos of some women testing. Some are really good. Hope you like them!

these are really awesome but is there any reason you found specifically women testing? as opposed to just humans? were you looking for something special among them?

I was doing a search on women in martial arts, I guess because I'm a woman. I was curious because I've met and trained with men who are serious, but I haven't met a woman who is. But I live in a rural area, so I was wondering what other women out there are doing in martial arts.

I once had a woman tai chi instructor but I didn't stick with her after she said she changed the form because she thought it was better her way.

That's too bad that you don't know any women who are serious in the martial arts. I think the numbers are beginning to even out. Women make up about a third of my kobudo sensei's empty hand class, I think, and sensei doesn't put up with a lax attitude. If someone isn't serious, he kind of makes them serious about it, or they leave.

Edit: By the way, now you know, at least by internet, one woman who is serious about martial arts. Disgruntled is probably one of the more dedicated martial artists I know.

hi it is nice to meet you

but i do have to stick up for your tai chi instructor.... sometimes i teach things differently becauce my experience has taught me better ways to do things.... and especially as a woman you have to notice what works better because often the instructors are men that depend a lot more on strength than technique to do a move. but i always teach the original way and then teach my variation because not every way works for every one.

I can second that, puts a lot of other MAists to shame (male and female).
