Default Breakfast

i know that breakfast is really essential to a healthy diet, but how soon after you wake up do you have to eat for the best results.

My understanding is "before you begin daily activity." Once you start moving around, you want your body to already be working on replenishing its energy.

(BTW, no matter what anybody tells you, including myself, all you'll get in this matter is conjecture. A hundred different studies on the matter have yielded a hundred different results, which suggests to me that each compiler of each study has had an agenda, thus twisting the results to particular ends)

define daily activity....... i some times wake up at 8:30ish to 9:00ish, but do not do much more than walk around my (tiny) apartment a bit and press the buttons on the TV remote for an hour. i would rather wait an hour to eat, but i force myself to eat earlier because i don't want to screw up my metabolism.

With regards to breakfast, I tend to have mine AFTER I've exercised as swimming on a full stomach is quite dangerous so after I've done my mile I am normally ravenous anyway so I have my healthy 100 % wholewheat and high fibre breakfast and I'm ready to tackle to rest of the day!

i do something similar.... i make myself eat something when i wake up. anything, but only a little amount. then after i work out i eat a bigger meal.

I would suggest, in this case, to eat breakfast pretty soon after waking up. (I would also suggest getting out and doing something, a suggestion I should probably take to heart, too )
