Default Calf Exercise?

What is the best calf exercise you can do to strengthen the calf muscles making your stance stronger? Any suggestions? I'd love some input.

I do calf raises using my bodyweight, but to strengthen my stance I practice the horseriding stance every day, holding it properly for at least six minutes.

I do calf raises, if you need more weight simply find something heavy like a sandbag and put it around your shoulders and do the calf raises. I also ride my bike and pedal using only the tips of my feet which gives them a great workout too.

Biking is good. I also think stair climbing to good also.
Adding ankle weights helps also, but once you have conditioned yourself to the exercises first!

I also do the body lifts, but I put my toes on the bottom step of our stairs. Adds a good stretch when you go down and hold it. Massage the calf often and deeply.

Since you do the horse stance and hold it, you may be getting a tight IT band. Work on keeping it lose and do ankle circles to help keep them lose also.

i just notice that a previous post mentioned ankle weights.... i wanted to make a note that ankle/wrist weights can be very dangerous. if you do use them you have to do smooth controled motion or else you can damage your joints.
