Default Just a few training tips!

Circular force combinations are combinations that apply force that rotates around an axis. The axis is located at a point on your body, as close to your center of gravity as possible. The force is then transfered to the target by two points on your body, usually your hands or feet. The resulting effect is the increasing speed and power, of both applications of force.

The first application of force(striking or grappling) will always intensify the second. In striking, the second strike is intensified by the centripetal force generated by the first.

**IE: a back fist to the face, followed by a hook kick to the leg and a back kick to the groin will create a continuous 360 degree circle with one technique leading into and strengthening the next.

In striking, one movement follows the another in smooth progression. In grappling, however, the theory is changed a bit. When applying a throwing or locking technique , the circular force will occur concurrently, with each force continuously increasing the other.
**IE: A hip throw where the upper body pulls the opponent forward and downward and the hips and legs push to the rear and upward.** Performing these movements in succession will not produce the desired results.** Instead they must be done simultaneously being aware, and using the circular force being created.

Examples of circular force combinations:

1)Left hand pushing the chin and right hand hooking the rear knee for a take down
2)Hip throw (upper body pulling and lower body pushing)
3)Left hook kick and right back kick

excellent post! circles are the key to MA. enven when looking at how to move around. getting in the habit of moving back and forth is a back thing... you want to move around your oppentent to find openings.and side step attacks to move around them instead of backing up.

Everything has a flow to it... using that flows energy to your advantage can make all the difference. Every movement should flow effortlessly into the next, and with each adding more power, and speed, thus completing the circle.
