Exclamation Not a mainstream art!

Hello my martial arts brothers and sisters,I would like to submit something interesting for your viewing pleasure.A little while ago there was a post I believe by disgruntled asking if we could take up another art, what would it be? one of the answers was taekkyon..so I took a look at this art on youtube,as I have never heard of this art,you will not believe the control these people have with their legs!agility is incredible.I also ran into vovinam, also known as viet vo dao, both korean arts.very impressive acrobatics in vovinam.e.g.leg scissors to the neck, takedown, again very agile. So if you have some spare time, look these arts up at youtube! P.s. Can anyone name another non mainstream art that is impressive?

can you post some good youtube clips you have found?

here is one of my other favs (yes, it was me that is dying to take taekkyon):

drunking boxing:

i found a school in Edmonton that claims to teach this style (and yes i would be willing to make the 3 hour drive to learn this style), but every lead i find is a dead end. it is so frustrating. i found the phone number for the instructor on three different websites, but the person that answers says it is the wrong number. in the information section, when you click on the drunken style link you get something writen in one of the romance langauages over and over. i am really close to just driving down for a day and searching all of edmonton for this school!

all you do is copy and paste the link and the forum does the rest it will search the site for supported video, and if there is video it will display it.

Quantum Jujitsu

Looks pretty intense...don't know if it's anything different though. Just looks like a hybrid....training for mixed martial artists. Thanks for the post though!

Looks kind of neat. Closer to Jiu Jitsu than BJJ, but with Western wrestling and some boxing concepts added in. I agree that it was likely developed for MMA.

the theory is that it is BJJ/JJ but fancier to give them more leverage when doing joint manipulation.... i think.

There's definitely some Greco-Roman wrestling in there. I recognize a couple of moves from when I was in 4th grade. I also think that there are some boxing moves. One of the guys in my old karate class was primarily a boxer and taught us more boxing than karate (and was one of the largest reasons I quit the class)
