yeah i know that affordable training was a big issue for everyone, but knowledge is greater in numbers, so i thought you might have thought of something i have not....

although i understand what you mean by not winning but handling things, what are some of the techniques you teach?

Uhm, well, go here and you'll get a good idea (the site is still under construction, but many of the links work now.)

Example One

Example Two

i checked out those pages and i don't really see how those self defense are any different from the standard ones. aside from things that stress striking to vulnerable places, most self defense classes focus on join manipulation and control like in the article.

i thought that you meant that you stress keeping your self safe instead of "finishing" the attacker.

Example page two wasn't fighting techniques. That was the part about keeping oneself safe and attending upon personal matters. There's other pages of material to that effect as well.

Point was that our school has two sides of self protection and the more important one is the side that deals with personal affairs and gaurding one's own interests.

The more important side is definitely not about finishing the opponent.

Ya know, in fact, we were taught never to engage unless there simply was no other choice -- never engage, due to expenditure of effort. But most people are taught not to (we were taught not to because it COSTS LESS to us personally!)

Screw finishing the attacker. We'll go enjoy a fine meal at the Olive garden.

YOU know what I mean!
