Default Famous karate people

These are some famous people who are students of karate or related styles:
* Chuck Norris (Tang Soo Do)
* Cynthia Rothrock (Tang Soo Do)
* Jean Claude Van Damme (Shotokan)
* Jeff Speakman (American Kenpo)

I knew about Jean Claude but not the others!

Bruce Lee did not create jujitsu. Jujitsu was the samurai's unarmed combat style, and stretches back many centuries. Bruce Lee's "style that isn't a style" is Jeet Kun Do.

I think jeet kun do, toward the end, at least, borrowed heavily from a number of different sources. Not sure of the original inspiration, however.

I think that it is very interesting to see how many famous people are involved in martial arts, and to see what types they perform. It makes it seem that much more elaborate, and shows just how much of a variety there is in the field.

There hasn't been anybody specifically that has inspired or interested me. I just think that it spreads the word about martial arts further out to a audience who would not ordinarily know anfything about it.
