Hapkido makes use of over 700 pressure points.
Thats an amazing amount of pressure points, more than i thought we had. Here is an article on pressure points in case you are wondering about some http://www.fightingarts.com/reading/article.php?id=423 Note - please excuse the typo on the title of this thread! |

from what i have learned, Hapkido pressure points includes muscle peeling points as well... sometimes we grab a muscel and peel it out of place to cause pain to make the person comply. I'm sure Hapkido does not use every pressure points in the human body, since some of the are really hard to get to. For some pressure points you have to get the person in certain positions for them to work. This has something to do with displacing the muscels to allow access to that perssure points. But since 10% of people do not feel pressure points, we don't spend too much time on them. We only use them as an additional tool but not as something that we count on.
