Default Star Trek TNG

i know that this is a weird topic, even for the off topic section, but i could not resist. i am a total trekkie. anyway, right now i am watching the episode where no one can see Geordi and Ro because while helping the Romulins they get "phased out" during a transporter malfunction. and it occured to me that they always do episodes where the federation helps an enemy, but not the other way around..... which is annoying. it is so yay humanity, instead of being a good commentary on humanity....... unless i am forgetting some episodes......... the Q episodes don't count because he is not technically an enemy.

any other trekkies out there?

I can't think of any Next Generation episodes, but Voyager does a lot of trading back and forth. Aliens helping humans, humans helping aliens.

Hehe. You went to a convention in costume (never mind that I went to CONvergence as Tatewaki Kuno from Ranma 1/2).

I've never had the time to watch any of the Star Trek series religiously, so I haven't seen all of the episodes of any of the series, but I know TNG, Voyager, and Enterprise fairly well.

i never got into enterprise. what do you think of it? i did not like the vulcan girl, she was not very vulcan. and the pretty boy guy really annoyed me. but the concept of the show was interesting.

They needed a female sex symbol for the show, and Jolene Blalock (T'Pol) fit the bill. Put her in a cross between Deanna Troi's bunnysuit and Seven of Nine's bunnysuit, and you're good to go.

She didn't look like a Vulcan (she acted pretty Vulcanish, though).
What I liked about the show was that they explained so many things from the series. In particular, I like that they explained why the Klingons in the original series looked like sissies compared to the ones in TNG and beyond.

A plague was destroying the Klingon race. The doctor on the Enterprise came up with a cure, but it changed the DNA of the Klingons (or something like that) making them look different. They ended up taking the cure, and then, when the plague was gone, they undid the change.
