Whats the best type of martial arts in your opinion?
It will be nice to see what people prefer here as so many different arts suit different people.

I think i am swaying towards kickboxing to be honest. Ive done alot of research about this , more over the last week or so and i really think thats the one thats the best out of them all for me.

I dont know too much about hapkido, id actually like to see some more information on here about it if you have any.
Its not one hear alot talking about but maybe its just the area i live in as im told different sorts of martial arts are more active in certain areas.

I picked karate/judo but Im also partial to kickboxing but not in a competitive sense, more just for fitness.

I dont think there is a "best" - its up to the individual person as to what is right for them.

I would have to agree with that illusions, "one mans heaven is another mans hell"
Kickboxing is my own personal favourite, should it win this poll or not, but there are people out there that dont like kickboxing, and perhaps love taikwondo, and thats fair enough.

Are we talking "Best" or favorite...because the question is what martial art is the "Best" That would be kind of hard, and impossible to answer unless you are talking about what style is best for you as an individual.

I also agree with illusions!
Each style has it's strenghts and weekness. It depends more on the fighting man...the one who weilds the style and not the fighting style itself. For without a person, a style has no power. There for it isn't the martial art. It's the Martial artist that makes a martial art effective.

My vote goes for Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido. This has always been my personal favorite and is the only type that I have much experience in. Should be interesting to see how the poll results end up!

I agree with BlackDragon - you should really reword the question to ask your favorite type. As there really is no such thing as the "best". It is more a personal opinion....Anyway I put my vote in for kick boxing - looks like this category has the lead for now anyway!

My vote also goes for Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido. This just happens to be my personal favorite out of the above choices. It seems like Tae Kwon Do, Hapikido and kickboxing are the 2 more popular choices for now.
