the clip is interesting. I see a lot of similarity's to muay thai, even the double under hook clinch for the take down. I think if you were to practice that take down you should pay special attention to were you place your grip. I have accidentally broken a friend's ribs with a similar take down. my mistake was i started at the base of the rib cage not centered on the spine. With my lift, I allowed him to slip just a bit as i was lifting so my grip would end up between his shoulders but when the first rib broke his entire body weight came crashing down, breaking a few more before I was able to get him to the floor. So just a word of cation from hindsight.

ouch... thank for the advice (and welcome to the forum)
i really noticed the similarities to muay thai too. i would love to learn more about this art and find out if they have similar origins. do you practice muay thai? and what MA was the throw you were praticing from, or were you just experimenting?

i do not practice muay thai. It was a modification to the front seatbelt take down from modern army combatives level 1. long story how the idea came up. i wonder if the history channel provides resources for there show?
