Exclamation Please read before you post in this section

This is a section to plug your school, dojang, dojo, or whatever. This is not meant to be a free advertising board. Rather, it is meant to be a resource for others on the web. The distinction is very fine, but will dictate a few particulars about your post.

Following the rules for this section is very important. This section is moderated, meaning everything has to go past a moderator to end up here. If a post doesn't follow these rules, it will not be posted.

Rule One:
The post in this section shall not be your first post on MAMeta.
A post in the "Introduction" section would be good, but any contribution to any thread will work. (This means no "yeah" posts, just to be allowed to post here).

Rule Two:
The posting in this section shall not consist only of a name, location, phone# and/or web address for the school.
Post more about the school. What style or styles are taught there? If this style differs from the traditional variant of the style, how does it do so? What are the strongest points of the style, and where is it lacking?
The last question, I know, is difficult to answer, but it's my belief that if we can't see the flaws in our own art, we are doomed to failure. While it isn't required that you let us know what is lacking, special attention will be paid to posts that include such a thing, and these will be weighted heavily for potential positive feedback.

Rule Three:
All styles/arts taught within a single school shall be listed under a single thread, though they may be separated into different posts within that thread. Likewise, separate locations within the same metro area shall be listed within a single thread, though they may, again, be separated into different posts within that thread.
Pretty straightforward. If East-West Karate has three separate locations in the Twin Cities Metro Area, and teaches personal self defense, karate, and kobudo, all Twin Cities East-West Karate dojos and the styles they teach will fall in a single thread.
If someone else, however, were to post the Milwaukee branch of East-West Karate, that would have its own thread, as it would likely be different enough to warrant separate information.

Rule Four:
All thread titles shall contain the name of the school, the city/state/province the school is located in, and the style/styles offered by the school.
This is to aid members in finding useful threads. This way, members can skim the listings, looking for the areas they need.

Rule Five:
The post will remain respectful of other arts and styles.
This is in continuance with the forum's rules regarding such respect. Some schools make their money off of degrading other arts. This will not be done here.
