Default Martial Arts Death Touch

A Fox Chicago newscast about a karate instructor who knocks people out without even touching them.

Notice that Stephan Bonnar is one of the Carlson Gracie jiu-jitsu students who is apparently immune to the deadly technique

i hope you love the video

oh my god.... that man is out to lunch...... so he says that serious athletes are less likely to be affected.... well even if we do decided to believe his dellusions, then we have to ask, if all his students seem to be affected, then how well is he training them?? clearly he does not have the ability to train serious atheltes.....

i also would like to point out the placibo effect. for example, anthropologist have found that curses can in fact kill people, but not for mystical reasons. the stress of thinking they are going to die is too much for their body to handle and the sever stress leads to death.

thanks for posting the vid! i haven't seen it before. and welcome to the forum you should introduce yourself in the intro section oh and check out the contest section so you are aware of the current contests and prizes availible

OK the machine they hooked him up to is effected by artifact readings such as movement talking heavy breathing so a spike in heart rate when he fell after being knock out is completely plausible due to the artifact caused by him falling the students grabbing him and slapping him so no evidence there, i am really impressed by the fact that he knows who it will work on and who it will not.

Good points, though the clammy skin, the sweat, and the dilated eyes are more difficult to explain. I am an odd skeptic. I believe that there is the possibility that stuff like this can be done, but I automatically doubt anyone who claims to be able to do it. What you've said, as well as disgruntled's points about his students being affected, makes me believe that this guy is a crock.

More likely, I would assume that either he is a charismatic person and has been able to spook his students into suffering from shock when he does this sort of thing, or has taught them to control their bodies, sending themselves into shock. The funny thing is, I would be highly impressed with the second scenario, but nobody will ever admit that kind of thing.

I personally have read nothing supporting them... and no one has taken up my offer to fly out to them so that they can try their "death touch", "telekinetic blast", or "psy-vampire" techniques on me.
I have a standing offer for these people, you get as much time as you need to get your effect off, then I will take 3 steps forward and punch them as hard as I can. When I was on Jedi forums I almost went to Texas to try to get mind blasted but they caved.
I have seen and felt Chi do many things, but I have never seen it or any other force used in an attack ever.

I have a little handbook, Dim Mak (Dim Hsueh); The Poison Hand Touch of Death.
I got the book because it was really freakin' cheap. It's a little over fifty pages long, and pretty much just is little pictures with circles and lines on peoples' bodies and explanations that "If you strike this, target will die in three days."
About the only useful thing in the book are the training exercises, which are applicable for soft-tissue strikes as well as "Death Touches".

Well I doubt I'll ever be able to explode someone's heart, but I valued my Bruce Lee 1inch punch book all the same.

that is a good point.... what do we thing of the 1 inch punch? the theory is kinda the same, and it is a little mystical pseudo-martial arts, but it was bruce lee's big thing, and i think we all have great respect for him.

I've read a book on it, and there is a matter of body mechanics. If sirdarling would get the boxes out of his ex-wife's garage, he might be able to find the book again. "One inch punch" is something of a misnomer, as the punch does travel further than that. It's just that you can carry the movement throughout your hips, spine, and shoulder, which allows you to deliver devastating punches at very close range.
