have you started any local advertisments? one thing that you could do is volenteer to do demonstrations at schools for their heath fairs or be a guest instructor for gym classes to get your name out there. (make sure you have panphlets and business cards ready)

lol i have done the pamphlet and business cards thing, an acquaintance of my wifes was recently assaulted at a gas station, so the big thing at the moment is to put together a 3-4 hour seminar for her and her friends, ill see how that goes and if i like it ill do more, i like having people who want to learn for the right reasons and if money becomes the goal it will be time to stop.

very good point.... that is also a good way to get people to know you and what you teach........ although i do not do things for money, i have this complusion to 'market' anything that i am passionate about. it works out nice.... most the time.

i teach at a community centre, but that is about it.

I teach in south Louisiana...I have taught in dance schools in the past, but not any more...just teach private and semi-private students...also teach Cops, SWAT teams, Dt instructors, some Feds, Corrections officers, some military units, and college football players...have never run a commercial school so do not know the intricacies of doing so...
If you want info on such...try Ezine articles and look up your subject, or type "running a martial arts school" into your browser...should come up with tons of FREE info Cqbspartan@yahoo.com......Carl

For every one hundred men you send us,
Ten should not even be here.
Eighty are nothing but targets.
Nine of them are real fighters;
We are lucky to have them, they the battle make.
Ah, but the one. One of them is a warrior.
And he will bring the others back.
