African thankfulness holiday. This is a severe simplification, mostly because I'm too lazy to look it up right now. I'm working on an article for the aquarium forum I'm on.

Kwanzaa is a week-long African festival celebrated primarily in the United States, honoring African American heritage.
Kwanzaa consists of seven days of celebration, December 26 to January 1 each year.
featuring activities like candle-lighting and pouring of libations, and ending in a feast and gift giving.

There are so many Holidays world wide, it really is hard to keep track...
Its good that you are trying to get a wide variety!!

Dont forget the Chinese New year.
And here are a few from other parts of the world...... Children's day (May 5th - Japan), Obon (Japanese festival/Holiday - July 13-15), and Deepavali (India - Nov 9th - Light Festival)

No Problem

As for the Chinese new year.... The festival begins on the first day of the first lunar month in the Chinese calendar and ends on the 15th; this day is called the Lantern festival. In 2008 it starts on Feb 7th, and it will be the year of the Rat (Wu Zhi).

We could also put solstices and equinoxes in.

The dates look good, they may need to be adjusted year to year, but they are just as accurate, as any major calender.
